IVANOS Logistics: 20 Years of Moving East Africa Forward
In the logistics business, longevity means something. It means you have seen the industry change — the introduction of digital customs systems, the expansion of the SGR, the growth of Uganda's manufacturing sector, the emergence of new trade corridors, the disruptions of global events, and the resilience of East African trade through all of it. At IVANOS Logistics & Company Ltd, we have been on the road through all of these changes.

Founded in Kampala over two decades ago, IVANOS began as a road freight and clearing company serving importers bringing goods through the Port of Mombasa into Uganda. The Northern Corridor was already our home ground. We knew the route, the customs procedures, the weighbridge officers, the border crossing protocols, and the conditions our drivers navigated every week.

Two Decades of Growth

Over the past 20 years, we have grown our fleet from a handful of trucks to over 20 heavy commercial vehicles — primarily Mercedes-Benz Axor prime movers capable of handling 30-tonne payloads. We have added specialised trailers: flatbeds for project cargo, low-loaders for heavy machinery, reefer units for cold chain clients, and curtain-siders for consumer goods distribution.

We opened our Mombasa office at the MTC Trade Center to place our clearing agents directly at the port — reducing the communication delays and documentation errors that can cost importers days of unnecessary dwell time. Our Kampala office at Ntinda Complex coordinates upcountry deliveries, customs procedures at Malaba and Busia, and all Uganda-side operations.

The Services We Offer Today

Today, IVANOS Logistics provides a comprehensive range of services to importers, exporters, manufacturers, NGOs, government programmes, and trading companies across East Africa:

Our Commitment to Our Clients

What has not changed in 20 years is our commitment to the clients who trust us with their cargo. Every IVANOS shipment is backed by a team: a clearing agent who knows your commodity, a driver who knows the route, a dispatcher who monitors progress, and an operations coordinator who is available when you need an answer.

We do not believe logistics should be opaque. Our clients know where their cargo is, when it cleared customs, when it crossed the border, and when it will arrive. That transparency — built on GPS tracking, proactive communication, and a culture of accountability — is what has kept our clients coming back for 20 years.

Looking Forward

East Africa's trade is growing. New infrastructure along the Northern Corridor, expanding manufacturing in Uganda, growing export volumes from Kenya's horticultural sector, and deepening regional integration under the East African Community all point to a region where logistics will play an increasingly central role in economic development.

IVANOS Logistics is ready for that future. We are investing in our fleet, expanding our cold chain capabilities, building digital tracking systems for our clients, and deepening our presence at the Port of Mombasa and across the Northern Corridor.

Thank you to every client, partner, driver, and team member who has been part of this journey. There are many more kilometres ahead.
